Alec O’Brien is a Boston-based Cinematographer and Camera Operator with a passion for visually driven storytelling. His work is rooted in thoughtful composition, naturalistic lighting, and emotionally grounded imagery that serves character and story first.

With experience across narrative shorts, music videos, and upcoming feature work, Alec approaches each project with a collaborative mindset, working closely with directors to develop a visual language that feels both cinematic and deeply intentional. Whether capturing intimate character moments or dynamic camera movement, his focus remains on creating images that resonate beyond the frame.

A graduate of the University of Connecticut and holding a master’s degree from Full Sail University, Alec continues to build a body of work centered on atmosphere, emotion, and visual clarity.
